Forces party corporator to beat himself with shoe

In a shocking incident, senior Samajwadi Party leader in Mathura district allegedly forced a party corporator to lash himself with his own shoe for interfering in a matter of sexual harassment case in Vrindavan.

The SP district city president Sujit Varshney allegedly punished the corporator, Mahednra Chaudhary with 20 shoe lashes and asked him to take off his shoes and hit himself 20 times.
What was more shocking was that the entire incident took place inside the Bankey Bihari police outpost in the district with police personnel remaining a mute spectator to the punishment.

Varshney had summoned Chaudhary as he was irked over Chaudhary for demanding police action against the culprit.

The in-charge of the outpost Chotey Lal Yadav raided Chaudhary's house and forced him to come to the outpost.

The entire incident was filmed by a witness, who was reportedly an SP leader. The video, which was aired by the local TV channels, showed Chaudhary hitting himself with his shoes and also counting up to twenty.

Three policemen deployed at the outpost had been suspended after the incident and Varshney had gone underground. “A search has been launched to arrest him,” the officers said.
