City teenager kidnapped, raped in Mangalore?

According to her complaint, she was working in a garment shop at Magadi in Bangalore and her friend Pooja, who is also working in the same shop, invited her to visit Pooja’s home at Shimoga.

After going to Shimoga five days ago, Pooja reportedly invited Nasira and her three other male friends - Guru, Vijay and Ramu - to Hubli for a tour. Accordingly, all the five left
Shimoga for Hubli on November 18.

Half way through, Pooja alighted from the car to recharge her mobile. As she did not return, they left for Hubli. “However, only after reaching Mangalore, Nasira realised that they were not going to Hubli,” she stated in her complaint.

Upon reaching Mangalore, the four stayed in a house for four days. On Sunday, Nasira escaped from the house and reached the police station, the complaint stated. The police have filed a case against the trio of kidnap and rape.

Missing links

Sources in the police department said that there are many missing links and only a thorough investigation may reveal the truth.

A police team has already left for Shimoga. Meanwhile, sources also said that Ramu has been nabbed at night. Further investigations are on.
