Mary Kom's autobiography released by Sushmita Sen

 Olympic bronze medal-winning boxer M C Mary Kom today said that her struggle was the story of many, particularly women, in the country in their quest to achieve their dreams.

"The reason I decided to pen my story down was to ensure others could read it and feel that if I could achieve what I have, so can they. One must have passion, dedication and faith in oneself and all dreams can come true," Mary Kom said at the release of her autobiography 'Unbreakable' by actor and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen at IIT, Guwahati here.

Mary Kom said she was not yet ready to call it a day but in her autobiography, she had narrated the story of her struggles so far in her career.

Sen said she was a personal fan of Mary Kom and has been following her journey for some time now.
"Her zeal to excel amidst all odds and determination to overcome every hurdle in her way is worth emulating by women across the globe. I congratulate and thank her for giving us her marvelous story through this book which I believe is a simply told tale of a woman's road to emancipation and empowerment," Sen said.

"Mary Kom is a name synonymous with the vitality, strength and determination of Indian women and sportsmanship and is a role model to many," she added.

The book, published by Harper Collins, include her tough childhood, her rebellions, her wait for her husband Onler to propose for marriage, how she was willing to run away with him and how she held her own in the male bastion of boxing.
