Verma in Ranji squad

Amit Verma has been included in the Karnataka squad for the Ranji Trophy tie against Mumbai at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium from December 22 to 25 here.

The left-handed all-rounder found his place in the squad for the first time this season, replacing an injured Abrar Kazi. The rest of the squad remained the same with R Vinay Kumar leading the side and CM Gautam his deputy.

Karnataka, who have won three games on the trot with the latest victory coming against Punjab in Hubli, are on top of the Group ‘A’ table with 26 points from six games and will be looking to put on a good show against the second-placed Mumbai.
