JOIN US Mithesh Madan slammed a century to put Bangalore City XI in a commanding position against President’s XI in their two-day KSCA under-14 inter-zonal match.
Madan cracked 14 boundaries and four sixes en route 127 as Bangalore City posted a challenging 349 all out in 68 overs. Barshith Raj too a made a decent contribution, stroking 75.
In reply, President’s XI never got going, finding themselves in deep trouble at 83/8 in 27 overs at stumps on day one. Gaurav picked up 3/18 while Aman Khan took 2/18.
In another match, Mangalore Zone took a first innings lead of 76 runs against Shimoga Zone. Abhishek Shetty’s half-century helped Mangalore Zone post 115 in 55.5 overs.
Rishab (5/41) and Shamanth SM (4-33) were among the wickets for Shimoga.
In reply, Shimoga were bowled out for 103 in 39.4 overs with Shetty (5/43) doing the damage. In their second essay, Mangalore reached 64/4 in 25 overs.
Mysore Zone too were in a commanding position against Raichur Zone.
After posting 209 all outin 69.2 overs, Mysore bundled out Raichur for 81 in 43.2 overs.
