Last Updated 06 January 2014, 20:27 IST

Former prime minister and JD(S) national president H D Deve Gowda on Monday appealed to the State government to take over Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) from Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (Nice).

Addressing the media, he said despite having taken over the project 19 years ago, Nice has not been able to complete it. He said documents pertaining to the alleged misappropriation have already been sent to the government.

He said the government must bring BMIC project under the purview of the Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force for an impartial inquiry. “If need be, I am ready to provide additional documents to the government to prove that there has been misappropriation at every step,” he said.
