CM told not to take hasty decision on Krishna plea

Noted jurist Fali Nariman on Thursday is learnt to have counselled Chief Minister Siddaramaiah against taking a hasty decision on filing a petition before the Supreme Court challenging the Further Report of the Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal 2 (KWDT).

Siddaramaiah led a delegation of ministers and advocates to hold consultations with Nariman on the vexatious issue.

Nariman is learnt to have told the chief minister that he was open to challenging the KWDT report in the apex court, but drew the attention of the leaders to several aspects of the November 29 report which were in favour of Karnataka.

Legal experts felt that there was a need to study the report thoroughly and look into all the aspects of it.
