A Raju was accused of stopping a tempo in Bangarpet Police Station limits, and keeping its driver in illegal confinement on November 12. He also took Rs 1,100 bribe and demanded Rs one lakh for releasing the vehicle.

A Raju, along with constables Shivalingaiah and Syed Abdul Rahman, was arrested by the Bangarpet Police on November 13 and produced in the court subsequently.
The suspension order of all the three accused came after DCP (West) submitted a preliminary report in this regard.

R T Nagar Police Inspector B P Prasad faces the charge of sexually harassing Yashaswini of Tyagarajnagar and trying to outrage her modesty when she approached him with a complaint. Yashaswini had lodged a complaint with R T Nagar Police after one Shaymasundar, whom she had paid Rs 26 lakh for buying his site on February 23, refused to transfer the land to her. He had threatened her with dire consequences when she demanded the amount.

Prasad had allegedly called her on the cellphone and demanded sexual favours after her father passed away on July 7. He was suspended after DCP (North) and ACP (Malleswaram Sub-division) submitted a preliminary report.
