Rain lashes Delhi as fog subsides

Early on Tuesday morning, both commuters and protesters in Delhi were greeted with a dull day — spells of rain and cold wind. After the fog subsided, the mercury kept fluctuating between 10.2 and 22.3 degrees Celsius.

The rain only subsided in the evening. The met department has forecast mainly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder-showers for the next two days. The day temperatures are expected to dip further, five degrees below the season’s average, while minimum temperature is expected to go up by four degrees.

“The interaction between a western disturbance and the easterly wave has resulted in moisture incursion over the region,” said an IMD official.
