Six witnesses including Sundar, Dayakar, Deepak Pai, Naveen, Gunapal and a circumstantial evidence were examined by the District and Sessions Court here on Wednesday in connection with Manipal rape case on Wednesday. Including this, the court has so far examined 18 witnesses in the case.
Manipal police in the charge sheet submitted to the court had mentioned 108 witnesses. The trial will continue on January 24. Though the trial date was scheduled for January 27, it is now pre-poned to January 24.
Two witnesses, K S Jaivittal who is the estate officer in MAHE and Suresh, a cycle patrolling guard in the University campus were examined on January 6, four witnesses were examined on January 20 and six witnesses were examined on January 21.
