The power generated from the reservoirs is capable of covering 35 per cent of the demand in the State”, he said.

As much as Rs 2.19 crore has been allotted for the repair of the NH-17 from the State fund. About 70 per cent of the potholes of the NH-17 have been filled. Of the 3 crore allotted for the purpose,  Rs 50 lakh  has been allotted for Karkala and Kundapur and Rs 20 lakh each for Byndoor, Kaup and Udupi.
