JOIN USJD(S)State Women’s Wing President actor Rakshitha, on Friday, expressed her wish to contest Lok Sabha polls from Mandya constituency from the party ticket.
Speaking to media persons after offering prayers at Kalikamba temple in Mandya, she expressed her willingness to contest only from Mandya Lok Sabha constituency.
If the party decides to field any other candidate, she would work for their victory, she clarified.
She said that she did not view MP Ramya as competition, as she enjoyed popularity only as an actor, and exuded confidence that people of the district would support her.
On dubbing
Commenting on the dubbing issue that is rocking Kannada film industry, Rakshitha said that personally she was opposed to dubbing as hundreds of workers who are dependent on the film industry may lose jobs due to the same, she said.
