Ashpalting of Mysore Road flyover underway

As the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has begun asphalting the Mysore Road flyover, commuters have to bear not just traffic congestion but also negotiate the dug-up road and one-way traffic on Sirsi Circle flyover.

The BBMP began the asphalting on January 1, this year, by roping in a private firm, Artery Infra Projects Private Limited. A total of Rs 1.68 crore is being spent on the project, Palike sources said, adding that for the first time in 15 years, asphalting and milling has been taken up at the 2.62-km Mysore Road flyover.

Palike Engineer-in-Chief Rangaraju said that from Ryan Circle to Mysore Road stretch, work has been completed. Currently, milling and asphalting have been taken up from Sirsi Circle to Goods Shed Road loop and is expected to be over in two to three days. Till then, motorists from Mysore Road will have to ply on the right side of Good Shed Road through the median kept open.
