JOIN USA maid servant was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a house in HAL police limits on Sunday night. The victim was identified as Saraswathi, 25, a resident of Balaji Layout, Marathalli.
Police said Saraswathi was married to Bommanna four years ago. The couple, natives of Ananthpur in Andhra Pradesh, have a son and a daughter. Saraswathi came to Bangalore one-and-half months ago and joined the family of Kodanda Reddy as a maid servant. She was also assigned the job of taking care of one of Reddy’s ailing relatives. She had brought her daughter along with her while coming to Bangalore. It is said the couple fought regularly over petty issues and this was one of the reasons for Saraswathi moving to Bangalore.
Three days ago, Reddy’s two sons were killed in a road accident at Mulbagal in Kolar district. Bommanna had come to meet his wife two days ago. While Reddy’s family members went to conduct the funeral of their sons on Sunday, Saraswathi and Bommanna stayed back in the house.
On returning, Reddy’s family members noticed Saraswathi lying unconscious on the floor. They alerted the police who confirmed her dead. “There are no injury marks on her body. We have booked a case of suspicious death. We suspect Bommanna’s involvement in the incident. He is at large and we are searching for him,” police said.
