JOIN USAn African student, pursuing his undergraduate studies in the City, accidentally fell to his death from the fourth floor of his college hostel complex in the early hours of Saturday.
The deceased is Kasinzi Mwel Ivam Chatrack, 21, a Congo national.
Kasinzi was pursuing first year BCA at Koshy’s Institute of Management Studies, Kadusonnappanahalli, Bagalur. He was staying at the hostel complex on the college premises.
Police said a group of African students were reportedly partying on the hostel terrace around 3 am.
They were playing hide and seek, when Kasinzi tried to jump from the fourth floor to the third floor window platform. However, he missed the platform and landed straight on the ground floor.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but was declared brought dead. Bagalur police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating. An autopsy was conducted at Dr B R Ambedkar Medical College.
