There was something for all...

The IFIM College recently held its inter-college management and cultural fest ‘Aura 2014’ on campus.

The much-sought-after management fest in the City is an annual phenomenon that offers the participants an opportunity to compete, complement and collaborate with the best talents in the country. Some of the participating colleges were Alliance University, PES University, Christ University, Oxford Polytechnic, Seshadripuram College, Dayananda Sagar Institutions, MS Ramaiah College and CMRIT among others.

At the fest, the management events included best manager, HR, IT, business quiz, business plan, finance and marketing while the cultural ones had more vibrancy with the likes of group dance, battle of the bands, war of the DJs, fashion show, short filmmaking, photography and gaming. There were also various PU events like mad ads, sketching, face painting, solo singing and treasure hunt.

Participants were spoilt for choice when it came to attending or participating in the events. “‘Aura’ was a really marvellous fest and it was evident that the students had put their heart and soul into it. The fest turned out to be a really memorable one with a lot to learn from the two days,” said Deepthi, a participant from PES College. Radhika, a student of Jain University who attended the fest, added, “The fest really had its heart in the right place. It was very lively and the environment was conducive to some good-spirited competition. The hospitality was warm and all the events were really fun.”Arun, who organised the fest, said that it was great to see his idea take this form.

“When we started off with the idea of ‘Aura’, it felt like a far-fetched dream. But I got together a wonderful team and received great support from our principal. And finally, our hard work paid off and it turned out to be a great success,” he shared.

Alliance University went home as the overall winners of the fest. “The fest involved a lot of fun, tension, dance, music, headbanging and glamour. It provided two days of sheer awesomeness. So kudos to the college for putting up a great show,” said Ronald, a student of Alliance University.
