'Sahebara Sarkeetu'

The members of the theatre troupe ‘Kriyative Theatre’ will present the play, ‘Sahebara Sarkeetu’, on March 2 and 3, 7.30 pm, at Ranga Shankara, JP Nagar.

A popular production, the play is based on MR Srinivasa Murthy’s well known work ‘Rangannana Kanasina Dinagalu’ and is a hilarious account of the experiences of a village school inspector.

‘Sahebara Sarkeetu’ comprises humourous incidents, designs, music, acting and a message which talks about social change. 

Adapted for the stage by Sundar, the play presents numerous episodes which throw light on the condition of primary education in our country.

The play is designed and directed by Pramod Shiggaon. Dundiraj and Gopal Wajapeyi have composed songs for this play which are set to music by Gajanana Naik.

Prashanth Kammar has worked on the sets and props while lighting designed by Muddanna Rattihalli.

Some of the members of the cast, who are well-known theatre and television artistes include Ganapathi Gowda, Sundar, Laxmi Chandrashekar and Chandrakeethi.
