Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today held a 'Janta ka Darbar' at his residence to hear grievances of the people and directed officials to take appropriate action.

Most of the complaints were related to financial assistance, house allotment, drinking water, encroachment, job and various disputes, official sources said here.

Taking a serious note of the complaints, Akhilesh directed the officers to take effective action, the sources said.

The Chief Minister said after a suggestion from Cabinet Minister Azam Khan, the interaction with the CM was renamed 'Janata Ka Durbar' from the earlier 'Janata Darshan'. "People will not interact with us. Now, we will interact with the people," Akhilesh said.
