PhD researchers in oil, gas

The Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT), led by Heriot-Watt University, Aberdeen and funded by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), is offering 90 students the opportunity to become the next generation of geoscientific and environmental PhD researchers in oil and gas. Teacher development

Cambridge International Examinations announced its new teacher Professional Development Qualifications (PDQs) that provide a framework for continuing professional development for teachers and trainers. Programmes for the new syllabuses will start from September 2014, with monthly exam sessions starting in January 2015. For details www.cie.org.uk

Games design programme

University of Southampton’s Winchester School of Art (WSA) has invited applications for its new BA (Hons) Games Design and Art programme, starting in September 2014. This three year, full-time undergraduate programme will give students a thorough understanding of the factors shaping the games industry and the techniques and principles used to design games. Distance Education in Management

Centre of Distance Education, Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, invites applications for its two-year postgraduate diploma in management and one-year postgraduate diplomas in business administration, financial management, materials and supply chain management, human resource management, marketing management and cyber security. Architectural visualisation course

A new course, MSc in architectural visualisation techniques is being launched at Robert Gordon University’s (RGU) Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment this year.

The new course, which will start in September 2014, reflects the increasing use of building information modelling (BIM) and visualisation techniques within a rapidly changing industry, from 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry to planning visualisation and energy modelling.  For details  visit www.rgu.ac.uk/visualisation.
