Judge of Munsif Court (Junior Division), Nanjangud, Jayanna Pandit on Thursday turned down the bail plea of DySP (CID) Mysore, T K Dharmesh.The judge rejected the bail application citing the serious nature of the crime as the reason.
He added that the trial should be conducted only by the district court (sessions).
Dharmesh and five others, who have been arrested for poaching a spotted deer in Bandipur National Park recently, have been remanded in judicial custody till February 12.
The accused have also been booked under the Arms Act.
