Five people sustained injuries when two groups of construction workers clashed over a trivial issue in Yamalur in HAL police station limits on Sunday. The police have arrested eight people in this connection.

According to the police, labourers hailing from different parts of north India were working at two construction sites adjacent to each other and living in makeshift houses near the construction sites in Yamalur. Two groups of  workers, allegedly inebriated, attacked each other with clubs and iron rods. A couple of them suffered head injuries.
