Freedom fighter Anna Hazare on Wednesday said that there was no difference of opinion between him and Arvind Kejriwal, who was once his ally in the anti-corruption movement and now the chief minister of Delhi.

“My relations are now good with Arvind Kejriwal. He had in fact come to meet me, and we had a fruitful discussion on the political future of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP),” said the 76-year old social activist to Deccan Herald.

When asked if he had any plans to join hands with the AAP in the Lok Sabha elections, Hazare said he has given Kejriwal a 17-point agenda, which has been sent to all political parties, to follow in case of their victory in the Lok Sabha elections. “If the AAP decides to comply with the 17-point agenda, and gives me an affidavit that it will implement the agenda after its victory, I will immediately support them,” he said.

On BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, Hazare said he had sent his agenda to Modi, but he did not respond. Hazare said people had to decide their choice of candidates, when it comes to corrupt politicians.

On the two national political parties, Hazare said the country will be in doldrums either way, if the BJP or the Congress form the government in the Centre.

People close to Hazare on Tuesday said he has clarified that he would not contest the elections, and will only be part of the campaign for any party which concedes to his demands.Hazare was in Bangalore for a couple of hours to attend a programme of a TV channel. Soon after the programme, he left the City.
