While three were discharged in two hours, TDP MP K Narayana Rao with a previous history of heart ailment, was kept in the Coronary Care Unit of the hospital. Soon TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu arrived and said, “We are shifting him to Apollo Hospital because of infrastructural problems.”

Rao’s brother Bullaiah Rao said that he suffered a ‘mild heart attack’.  “On February 3 the doctors had advised him to undergo a bypass surgery for 90 per cent blockage in three valves,” he said.

The Medical Superintendent of RML hospital, Dr H K Kar, said that the MPs  had irritation in the eyes, nostrils and facial skin when brought. “We have given them the prescribed medicines for eyes and skin,” he said and added, “He (Rao) was an old case of cardiac problem. His blood pressure was very high and we have admitted him to CCU for investigation.”
