A 33-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at his home in Varthur police limits on Saturday night.

The deceased has been identified as Muniraju, a resident of 6th Cross, Ramagondanahalli.

According to police, Muniraju was under pressure on the professional front since he had suffered losses in his moneylending business.

On Saturday, he returned home after attending a party with his friends.

He had slept in his room when his family members noticed froth from his mouth. He was immediately taken to a  hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Muniraju was staying with his parents and his pregnant wife, who had gone to her parents’ house recently, added the police.

He has not left any death note. The body was shifted to a hospital for post-mortem.

Man found dead

A 21-year-old man was found dead in his  makeshift house in Avalahalli police limits.
The deceased has been identified as Irshad, a resident of Chimmasandra village. He hailed from Bihar and had come to the City a few years ago in search of a job, police said.

Irshad shifted to Chimmasandra after he got a job at a nearby factory.  He was staying with Sadique, also from Bihar. Five youths from Assam stay next to Irshad’s shed.

The incident came to light after a foul smell emanated from the house. Neighbours broke open the door and found Irshad strangled.

Police suspect that Sadique, who is absconding, is involved in the crime. “The murder might have been prompted by an old rivalry. We are questioning his neighbours to get more clues,” police said.
