Cottonians to take on St Joseph's in final

Bishop Cotton Boys School and St Joseph’s Boys High School will clash in the final of the KSCA BTR under-14 tournament here.

Bishop Cottons qualified on account of first innings lead after their semifinal match against School Vivekandanda ended in a draw.

Batting first, Bishop Cottons were all out for 269 in 87.1 overs with Ayush Shetty’s (113) hundred and Mihir Rajesh’s 64 being the major highlights.

Mohd Sajid scalped 3/68 and Chandan S Raju picked up 4/49 for School Vivekananda.
In response, School Vivekananda were bowled out for 234 in 82 overs handing a crucial 35-run lead to Bishop Cottons.

Rarun KC claimed 6/80 while Yashas (2/7) and Mihir (2/61) took two wickets apiece.
Bishop Cottons ended their second innings at 61/4 in 23 overs.

In the second semifinal, St Joseph’s Boys High School advanced after accruing a healthy first innings lead against Frank Anthony Public School (FAPS)

St Joseph’s Boys High School: 352/9 in 90 overs (Devdutt BP 174, Christy 26, Ritu P 83; Vinay Murgesh 3-47, Chirag SP 5-65) drew with Frank Anthony Public School: 180/7 in 90 overs (Mithesh Madan 41, Pranay Mutukumar 43, Vinay Murgesh 44; Devdutt BP 2-48, Abhay 2-24).
