Shanthe Gowda files papers in C'magalur

Addressing party workers, she said: “I am the only woman contesting for MLC election. If elected, I will raise voice for women’s cause in Assembly.”

JD(S) leader S L Dharme Gowda called upon the workers to work for the victory of the candidate. He called upon the party workers to keep away caste issue from election purview.  He said action will be initiated against those JD(S) workers who fail to work for the victory of Gayathri Shanthe Gowda.

Before filing the nomination, she offered pooja at Bolarameshwara temple. Congress leaders M L Murthy, B L Shankar, D M Puttegowda, D K Taradevi, Dr Vijaykumar, JD (S) leader S L Bhoje Gowda, H H Devaraj and Chadrappa were present.
