Political realignment has commenced in the soon-to-be-divided Andhra Pradesh with top guns of the Congress and other regional outfits scouting for green pastures triggering speculations of exodus from the Congress unit riven with bifurcation woes.

In a candid media interaction at Visakhapatnam, Purandeswari said she has plans to meet BJP leaders Advani, Rajnath and Arun Jaitely on Friday in Delhi.
“I am not putting any conditions but I am confident that they will give me the Visakhapatnam parliament constituency, where I have worked all along,” she said. Her husband Daggubati Venk-ateswar Rao, who is the
Congress MLA from Parchur in Prakasam district (who was in the BJP for a while), is also likely to join the BJP along with her.
