PG course in public policy

The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) will start a two-year residential postgraduate course in Public Policy this July.  This is the first time that the institute is offering such a course. 

“All public policies are essentially an interface between law and development and there is a requirement for people to understand and learn this,” said Sony Pellissery, Associate Professor, Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy (CSSEIP), NLSIU. 

There are a total of 40 seats for the course and selection will be based on the basis of an aptitude test and an interview that will be conducted by the institute. 

Any person who has completed his/her undergraduate studies can apply. An interdisciplinary course, its curriculum draws from a number of subjects like law, economics, political science with a part devoted to field and research work. The cost of the course is 1.76 lakh in the first year and Rs 1.59 lakh in the second year.
