Police check missing person reports

The body of an unidentified woman, believed to be in her mid-twenties, was found in south-east Delhi’s Fatehpur Beri area on Tuesday morning.

While the girl’s clothes were found to be undisturbed, injuries were found on her neck. Police are awaiting the post-mortem report to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Morning walkers called police at around 6.30 am on Tuesday informing that a girl’s body was lying outside a government school in Bhati Mines area.

Police said the body was lying by the side of a footpath. “A preliminary look at the body shows she was killed within the last 24 hours and then dumped there at night. We are going through the list of all missing persons report in the different police stations to check if she is one among them,” said a senior police officer.

The girl appears to be aged between 23 and 25. Her body has been sent to AIIMS mortuary for post-mortem and preservation for identification. A case has been registered at Fatehpur Beri police station.
