Pune FC hold Kitchee

Winger Gabriel Fernandes rescued a point for Pune FC against Kitchee in a Group ‘H’ encounter in the AFC Cup here on Wednesday.

Playing in their first away match  were trailing 2-1 with just 15 minutes left on the clock when Fernandes struck to restore parity.

After Spaniard Fernando Recio had given Kitchee the lead in the 29th minute before fellow Spaniard Juan Belencoso multiplied their lead two minutes before half-time.
Pune coach Mike Snoei decided to ring the changes at the interval making a double substitution.

Striker Mirjan Pavlovic halved the deficit 10 minutes later before Fernandes’ leveller.
Gurjinder Kumar provided the assists for both the goals.

The draw keeps Pune in third place, with two points from the same number of games.
Kitchee leads the table with four points.
