'BSY betrayed his supporters'

He was only interested in gettting BJP ticket for self, Shoba, alleges Dhananjay Kumar

The JD(S) candidate for Udupi-Chikmaglur Lok Sabha constituency Dhananjay Kumar alleged that former CM Yeddyurappa has betrayed all those who sacrificed to support him during his bad days, and embraced BJP only for selfish motives.

Speaking to the media persons, Dhananjay Kumar said that Yeddyurappa was only interested in getting BJP tickets for himself and Shobha and his selfish act exemplifies his self-centeredness.

‘My political bonding with him is a closed chapter. He is a power monger,’ he accused.

He said there arises no question of supporting BJP, as BJP and JD(S) are entirely two different ideological parties. JD(S) will contest in all 27 seats except for one, wherein the party is supporting SDPI candidate in Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency.

The voters will decide the destiny of the poll contenders and it is ridiculous to predict the wining margin, he added censuring BJP candidate Shobha Karandlaje’s recent statements declaring her wining margin.

He added regional parties would have a say in the forthcoming parliamentary elections. According to the recent survey, NDA and UPA coalition will fail to gain majority paving way for the formation of third front.

The 1996 poll scenario will be repeated, wherein the third front played a decisive role. He said even in Karnataka, BJP and JD(S) will be on equal footing with Congress in third position.

Stating that JD(S) has strong foundation in Chikmagalur, the candidate lamented that the party is not that strong in Udupi. However there is tough fight ahead. SDPI is supporting JD(S) in the State.
