Last Updated 28 March 2014, 19:01 IST

The BJP on Friday launched modified trucks with huge LED screens - as part of its campaign for the Lok Sabha polls - displaying videos on its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, the Gujarat development model, failures of the UPA government among others.

As many as 28 such trucks, one for each Lok Sabha constituency, will hit the streets and criss-cross the length and breadth of the constituencies for the next twenty days.

Four such ‘LED  trucks’ were flagged off outside the BJP office in Malleswaram by former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda and BJP National General Secretary Ananth Kumar.

The vehicles having video facility would not campaign for any particular candidate but appeal to people to make Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi the next prime minister of India.

Each vehicle is fitted with a 15x7 feet LED screen with power back-up, a DVD player, an inverter and amplifier.

The videos include a short documentary on Modi, speeches by Modi and Rajnath Singh, and short audio-videos on plans of Modi for India.
