Gangjee stays on course for Asian title

 
Gangjee blasted as many as four birdies to take his overall total to 10-under 206 and share the second place with Scot Simon Yates (66) at the Singha Park Khon Kaen Golf Club here.

Chinese Taipei’s Chan Yih-shin produced a sparkling five-under 67 to lead the $300,000 event on 12-under-par 204.

Overnight joint second Anirban Lahiri (71) and Harmeet Kahlon (72), however, found the going tough and slipped to tied sixth and eighth place with three-day totals of 209 and 210 respectively. Among others in fray, Digvijay Singh brought home an improved card of three-under 69 to lie tied 14th, two strokes clear of Indian open winner C Muniyappa (74) and five shots ahead of senior pro Gaurav Ghei (77).

Meanwhile, Defending champion Jeev Milkha Singh was just two strokes off the pace at tied second after turning in a brilliant five-under 65 in the penultimate round of the Golf Nippon Series JT Cup in Malaysia. Jeev is five-under 205 overall behind Kyung-Tae Kim, who carded a 64.
