DJ Akbar Sami gave Bollywood music lovers an opportunity to croon and shake a leg to some of his popular numbers at the Sanctum, Chancery Pavilion recently.

He has mesmerised crowds globally and keeps music lovers thrilled till the fag end of his show.

His passion for music and the knack to mix different genres of music like rap, jazz, folk, rock and contemporary music with traditional melodies ensured that Bangaloreans had a great time at the concert.

Sami, who has remixed many songs like Raat Baaki, Dhagala Lagli Lal and Om Shanti Om, played some of his pop numbers for the music lovers.

With his Bollywood hits like Jalwa, Paisa ye Paisa, ‘Just Chill’ and Ashiq Banaya Aapne, the crowd had no choice but to get on the dance floor.

DJ Hussain, who opened the show for DJ Sami, set the mood of the evening with some of his high energy numbers.

Prashanth, who was enjoying the evening with his group of friends, was happy that he attended the concert.

“DJ Akbar Sami is a big name in the music industry. He is the one who introduced remixes to the country and did a great job at that. His music is very lively, peppy and full of energy. I came here with a group of friends and had a great time,” he said.

DJ Sami not only played some of his old remixes but also some of his recent hits.

While some from the audience could be seen relaxing with friends and family, many others had a great time with their friends on the dance floor.

Arpita Gupta, a youngster, attended the concert with her friends.

“I love his style and some of his remixes have helped in bringing back the melody of yesteryears into the limelight. The best part about his music is the fact that he never lets the energy level drop. He interacts with the crowd and plays according
to our mood. I enjoyed the evening and hope that he comes back to Bangalore to perform,” she noted.

The music had a mix of old and new songs while some melodious numbers gave the audience time to take a quick break.
