JOIN USThe City police have withdrawn the no objection certificate (NOC) issued to Naveen Earthmovers working on the Mantri Developers project at Doddakannahalli on Sarjapur Road.
Following a complaint by residents of Doddakannahalli with the Kothanur police on March 28, stating that use of explosives to blast rocks at the site has damaged several houses in the vicinity, City Police Commissioner Raghavendra Auradkar had directed DCP North East to conduct an inquiry into the matter and submit a report. The complainants had alleged that as many as 16 houses in the vicinity had been damaged due to indiscriminate use of explosives and had urged the police commissioner to cancel the licence issued to the firm.
The DCP, after visiting the spot, submitted a report stating that the people in the vicinity of the spot were affected due to the use of explosives. Based on the investigation report, the police have withdrawn the no objection certificate.
