'Country has enough dental colleges'

Dr Kohli made the remark during the inauguration of the Oral Implantology Department at Rajarajesheshwari Dental College and Hospital here on Friday. Interestingly, earlier in the day, Dr Kohli was present at the inauguration of a new dental college and hospital building in the City.  

With severe shortage of employment opportunities for dental doctors, the Council has recommended to the Central government to induct dentists under National Rural Health Scheme (NRHM).

Interestingly, about 80 per cent of the dentists cater to the 20 per cent of the population residing in the cities, he pointed out.
