SpiceJet's special fares for South

Last Updated 08 April 2014, 22:19 IST

After a rap from the aviation regulator for offering Re one tickets a week ago, low-cost carrier SpiceJet is back with another discount sale, this time offering “attractive fares” from south Indian destinations.

The three-day sale started on Tuesday and travel validity is from June 1 to July 31.
Fliers who will benefit would be those who embark on a journey from destinations in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.

The no-frill airline came up with the three-day, region-wise special discount offer for travel originating from Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijaywada, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tuticorin, Rajahmundry, Tirupati and Kolkata.

An airline spokesperson said these low fares were being offered on one-way travel. “Under this offer, limited inventory is available on first-come-first-served basis,” the airline said.

Sharat Dhall, president of travel portal Yatra.com, said the fares are particularly attractive for travellers who are not bound by the need to travel during summer school holidays.
