History mystery

History Channel’s new series, Vikings, is inspired by the tales of the raiding, trading and exploring Norsemen of early medieval Scandinavia. The series follows the adventures of Ragnar Lothbrok: the greatest hero of his age. It tells the saga of Ragnar’s band of Viking brothers and his family as he rises to become King of the Viking tribes. As well as being a fearless warrior, Ragnar embodies the Norse traditions of devotion to the gods. Catch the action-drama series Monday-Wednesday at 9 pm, on History Channel.

Fashion focus

In an exciting 19-part series, Fox Traveller’s new show, Style in the City, will rediscover fashion, fusion, handpicked from the streets of India with the help of top Indian designers. The designers will travel to different cities across the country to find inspiration for their designs and incorporate local material from each city, which will reflect in their unique creations, to be worn by celebrities. Go fashion forward with the new season of Style in the City, starting April 16 at 10 pm, on Fox Traveller.

Dancing blues

Michelle Simms, a former ballerina ‘bunhead’ winds up as a Las Vegas showgirl, who impulsively marries Hubbell Flowers and moves to his sleepy coastal town of Paradise in Southern California. Once there, Hubbell is killed in a car accident and Michelle struggles to adjust to life in a small town and teaching alongside her mother-in-law, Fanny Flowers (played by Kelly Bishop), at her ballet school: the Paradise Dance Academy. Watch the twists and turns of life in Bunheads on Saturdays at 8 pm, on Star World.
