Britney Spears' dad wants her to stay single

Singer Britney Spears' father Jamie does not want her to get married to David Lucado because he doesn't trust any man's intentions.

"Britney is crazy about David but her dad told her it's not happening," said a source.

Britney has two sons Sean, eight, and Jayden, seven, with former husband Kevin Federline. The singer married Federline in September 2004 and divorced him in 2007.

The "Toxic" singer reportedly pays Federline an estimated $20,000 a month for chid support and Jamie, who acts as her conservator and oversees her financial affairs, wants to protect her assets.

"Jamie doesn't trust any man's intentions. He doesn't want another Kevin getting her pregnant in order to be set financially. At this point Jamie is dead set against her marrying again," said another source.

The singer called off her engagement with former fiance and agent Jason Trawick in January 2013 and is apparently planning to tie the knot with Lucado, reports contactmusic.com.
