Bengaluru Habba from December 11

Founder and Trustee of Artists Foundation for the Arts (AFFA) Nandini Alva told reporters here on Monday, the programme, which was cancelled last year following terror attacks on  Mumbai, will bring in all sections of society to watch the events including a children's film festival, Jazz evenings, creative writing workshops, visual art festival, arts and crafts mela.

This time, the festival will include Indian Art Trial, an exclusive visual arts show with the 'the great gallery trail' and 'masters of contemporary art' exhibiting art work from Rabindranath Tagore to M F Husain. Dana Gillespie and The London Blues Band, Gerard Machado Network, Maarten Visser Trio, Global Unity, Interplay and Moon Arra will perform at UB City. 

The Kala Madhyam art and crafts mela will feature folk performances and live craft demonstrations. Singaporean writers - Ng Yi Sheng, Felix Cheong, Adeline Foo and Kiran Khalap from Mumbai will conduct creative writing sessions for 13 and 14-year old in 16 schools across Bangalore. 

The Children's Film Festival will screen movies like Vaadya, Innondu Mukha, Boy and the Crocodile,Summer with the Ghost, Tsunami 81, Surabhi, Gilli Gilli Aata, Puttani Party and Unique Hospital.

Performances from Strings, Shreya Ghosal, the Manganiyar Sufi Group, percussion by Ramesh and a DJ Confluence featuring top DJs in India will mark grand finale of the Habba.
