JOIN USIn a bizzare incident, a man allegedly kidnapped his wife from near her workplace in Kengeri on Friday.
According to police, Deepa, a resident of BTM Layout and Ajay, a resident of Yemlur, fell in love and got married a year ago. Initially, they had a cordial relationship but lately there were frequent fights between them.
Deepa decided to get separated from her husband and went to her mother’s house and was living an independent life.
Recently, Deepa had joined Sahana Nursing Home in Kengeri, as receptionist. Ajay, police said, tried convincing Deepa to forget the past and asked her to get back to him for which Deepa sternly refused.
On Friday, Ajay along with his friend Mohan, went near the nursing home where Deepa is working and again asked her to come and live with him. But both of them started arguing.
Ajay immediately pulled Deepa and put her into the car in which he and his friend had come. Mohan, a driver at a travel agency, sped away from the scene.
The hospital staff, who noticed this, immediately informed the police and lodged a complaint with the police.
After travelling a few kilometres, Ajay got down from the car and took his wife and went off in another car, said Mohan, who is currently detained by police.
A case of kidnapping is registered and police are searching for Ajay and Deepa.
