The tribals celebrating this festival painted their faces with black, white and various other colours, with empty plastic bottles, jackfruit skin etc hung around their neck, they sang obscene songs all way long.
The tribals spurted abuses at both men and women and begged for money at shops. The tribals who roamed all over the city from morning till afternoon then indulged into alcohol with their collection.  After distributing the excess amount among themselves they offered the surplus to Bhadrakali goddess at Devarapura. At about 3 pm, they assembled at the temple premises and then the drunken devotees sought the forgiveness of the deity wobbling and staggering, for having used abusive words at the people.
The people as a part of fulfilment of their vows sprang chicken in the air and the devotees assembled outside the temple reached to catch it. The live chicken were seen torn apart by the people who fought over it. After dancing throughout the day and spending all of their earnings on liquor, the tribal youth were seen returning home empty handed. However, even youth from other communities were seen dressed up like women just to collect money but such youth were identified and shunned away.
The festival which is celebrated once in a year saw some minor altercations between the groups as they were high on alcohol. Otherwise, the festival was peaceful.
