Rejuvenated CM to resume work today

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who had taken a break after a hectic election campaign, is scheduled to resume work on Monday.

He has lined up a number of meetings on Monday, including the State Cabinet meeting at the Vidhana Soudha. He is also scheduled to meet MLAs at his home office Krishna and review the drought situation with the senior officials of the departments concerned.

Siddaramaiah had got himself admitted to Soukhya International Holistic Health Centre in Whitefield on April 21 for rejuvenation of his health. He returned to his official residence Kaveri on Sunday evening. He, however, did not attend a programme organised by the Karnataka Haj Committee for online draw of lots for Haj pilgrimage on Sunday evening.

The Cabinet, which is scheduled to meet under the chairmanship of the chief minister, is likely to discuss about, among others, a proposal for extension of time limit for general transfer of officials, sources said.
