JOIN USWhen superhero Spider-Man swung by at the Forum Mall, Koramangala recently, excited fans got the chance to meet and greet him before the arrival of his highly anticipated movie, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’.
Children were seen waiting with bated breath for the arrival of their superhero.
During the event, the thrilled kids got the opportunity to pose with Spider-Man for candid pictures and watch him perform his signature stunts including the web slinging.
There was a small surprise for the onlookers in the literal sense.
A young fan came in the Spider-Man outfit, which his dad bought for him as soon as he realised there was a Spider-Man event happening.
It was truly a sight to see Spider-Man in the younger and older versions, in the same attire, pose together for a candid photograph.
“We are trying to bring The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ to the top of the list of movies watched by Indians.
As we all know, the series isn’t really new to India and its people.
It has made quite a mark in its journey here and accumulated a lot of fans from across different ages,” said a member of the organising team.
The promotional event was carried on in two halves.
It began with a quiz based on the viewers’ knowledge of their neighbourhood superhero.
Each one got Spidey goodies for their answers and also for their courage to go up on stage in front of everyone to answer the questions.
Later, Spider-Man swung in performing his stunts and waved to his cheering fans.
The children were very excited with the goodies they got in return for all their right answers at the quiz, which included cool Spidey stickers, a Spider-Man mask and a 3D key-chain depicting the superhero’s many stunts, adventures and his battles against various villains in the past Spider-Man movies.
This was followed by a photo session of all the kids posing with their superhero. For some time, Spider-Man disappeared and the quiz based on him resumed.
The goodies were again given away to all those with right answers and Spider-Man swung in, making an appearance and posing with his young fans for pictures.
The movie will be released on May 1 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
