Tourism circuit along State's coastline

 Tourism Minister R V Deshpande said that the Centre has given its approval to release Rs 45 crore for the development of a Tourism Circuit along the coastline from Karwar in Uttara Kannada to Mangalore. 

Speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday, he said: “From the view of developing tourism, it has also been approved to build a hanging bridge costing Rs 2.75 crore near the Jog Falls. Also, another one at a cost of Rs 1.85 crore would be constructed at Teelatmi Beach in Karwar.”

“The Centre has given permission to take out silt from Belkeri port. The same process will have to be carried on at Udupi and Mangalore also,” he added.
