Congress chief Sonia Gandhi today slammed BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for making 'ulte sidhe' allegations against her party and questioned the continuation of 'corrupt' ministers in his cabinet.

''Nowadays Narendra Modi is levelling ulte sidhe allegations of corruption against Congress. Had we not been serious to fight corruption we would not have brought the Right to Information Act which exposed many corruption cases,'' Gandhi told an election rally here.
''Has Gujarat's BJP government taken such a step to end corruption? And, why Lokayukta was not appointed there for ten years?,'' she asked the Gujarat Chief Minister.

''Why people facing charges of corruption and convicted by court in criminal cases are continuing in your state cabinet?''

Mocking at BJP's promise to deal strictly with terrorism, Gandhi spoke about the terrorist attacks on Amarnath pilgrims, Lal Chowk in Srinagar and other places in the country during NDA rule.

''Look, now they are saying they have the determination to take on terrorists,'' she said.
The Congress, she said, through sacrifices had always protected secularism in the country and alleged that the BJP and RSS were playing divisive politics and people who did not agree with their thinking would have to leave the country if they came to power.

Besides, BJP, the Congress leader also attacked its new ally LJP and former partner, JD(U).
''We need to identify those who have changed their thoughts from time to time and those who embraced BJP for 17 years and punish them in the election,'' she said.
