The Rajasthan Anti-Terrorism Squad on Friday arrested another suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist in Jodhpur.

Police said they have booked 30-year-old Zakir from Lala Lajpat Colony in Pratap Nagar locality of Jodhpur district.

Senior ATS officers informed that Zakir was assisting the active IM modules in the state and was in close connect with them.

Information about Zakir was revealed by Ashraf during the interrogation, police added.

Zakir was later produced in a court from where he was sent to 14-day judicial custody.

Senior police officers informed that Zakir is a mason and resident of Johdpur.

This is the sixth arrest from Jodhpur as five suspected IM terrorists have already been arrested from different locations in Rajasthan in March.

The information about Zakir was obtained by the ATS during the interrogation of Ashraf, a suspected IM operative who was arrested in Tamil Nadu on May 1.

Ashraf was one of the three key modules who were assigned the job to strengthen the organisation in Rajasthan and develop more sleeper modules.
