The Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) has received over 34,000 applications for photocopies for revaluation this year.

The department, which was racing against time to meet the deadline of issuing photocopies to students before May 24, is yet to send across 500 photocopies, according to DPUE officials.

However, for those who have not received it before Saturday, they would be given 48 hours grace time to apply for revaluation. Last week, in the wake of protests by students, the department extended the deadline for application of revaluation by four days.

Officials had expressed helplessness at the sheer number of application for photocopies flooding the DPUE office as they were not able to manage it with the existing staff.
According to an official release from the director, DPUE, the deadline for applying for supplementary examination too has been extended from May 22 to May 28.
