LPG cylinder delivery man killed in freak accident

An LPG gas agency worker was killed on the spot after he came under the wheels of a crane in Indiranagar traffic police limits on Friday. He hailed from Davangere and had recently joined HP Gas agency.

The victim, Dayananda, 23, was transporting LPG cylinders in his goods vehicle from Sadananda Nagar to K R Puram. On the way, he stopped on seeing an autorickshaw parked on the roadside.

The auto driver told Dayananda that there was a problem with the auto and he requested him to be there as he would get a mechanic. Dayananda set out to analyse the problem after the auto rickshaw driver went away. The crane driver, on the way to Sadananda Nagar, lost control and hit Dayananda killing him on the spot.

Gold ornaments stolen

Miscreants made away with 400 gm gold ornaments from a house in New Timber Yard Layout under Byatarayanapura police limits on Thursday. The incident came to light when Subramani Udupa returned home in the evening and found the house ransacked and gold ornaments missing, police said.
