The Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) has issued a statement, asking the Congress not to nominate former union finance minister P Chidambaram for elections to the Rajya Sabha from the State.
Describing Chidambaram as being ‘non-committal and non-performing,’ FKCCI president R Shivakumar said that the former finance minister turned a blind eye towards the industry’s needs.
He has appealed to the Congress to drop the idea and nominate candidates who will focus on the development of the State.
