JOIN USA 28-year-old man, who had married outside his caste five years ago but his wife deserted him after she failed to conceive, was found hanging at his home in Nagarabhavi on Wednesday.
The deceased is Ramesh, who worked as an attendant at the City Civil Court. He had married Ramya, his colleague, five years ago, despite strong opposition from both the families, the police said.
The couple did not have children and constantly fought over the matter. Ramya then went to her parents’ home, deserting Ramesh. The deceased recently stopped going to work.
His suicide came to light when a concerned friend went to his home as he had remained incommunicado for quite a few days. His friend then called the police who rushed to the spot and found three suicide letters, one each for Ramya, his parents and the police.
In one of the letters, he blamed his mother-in-law for the separation. Police said they were investigating the matter.
